HERTASNING ICHLAS | Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Hertasning Ichlas is the Founder and CEO of Tasninx, where he spearheads the integration of legal, regulatory, and compliance frameworks with applied sciences to deliver actionable, cross-sector strategies. Currently a PhD candidate and researcher at the Van Vollenhoven Institute, Leiden University. His work examines omnibus lawmaking across various countries, including Indonesia, with a specialized focus on natural resource regulation. Hertasning possesses an extensive academic pedigree, including a Bachelor of Laws from Universitas Gadjah Mada, an LL.M. from Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH), and an MA in Development Studies from the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS), Erasmus University Rotterdam.

 

His academic background is complemented by nearly a decade of experience as a lecturer at UPH’s Faculty of Law, where he has dedicated himself to teaching and supporting the development of legal scholarship in Indonesia. His professional trajectory reflects a sophisticated mastery of lawmaking, legal corporate advisory, and environmental governance. Beyond his tenure as a legal consultant, Hertasning served as a Technical Assistant to the European Union at Indonesia’s Peatland Restoration Agency (BRG), overseeing complex environmental initiatives across multiple provinces.

 

Hertasning combines experience in policy and document drafting with on-the-ground research, particularly concerning tropical peatlands, agrarian affairs, and plantation management in Indonesia. Having served as an expert advisor to the Indonesian Parliament (DPR RI) and various government institutions. Hertasning directs Tasninx’s mission to align technological advancement with legal compliance and sustainability frameworks in critical sectors like plantation, energy, mining, food industries, and health policy. He champions ethical innovation, ensuring that development and technological progress remain socially and environmentally sustainable.

ZULFAN LINDAN | Co-Founder & Chairman

Zulfan Lindan is a distinguished statesman with over three decades of leadership at the nexus of public policy, corporate governance, and national infrastructure. A political science graduate, he brings a wealth of experience from two terms as a Member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI) and pivotal executive roles overseeing Energy, Natural Resources, and the Environment. His career is distinguished by high-level appointments, including Vice President Commissioner of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, Member of the Supervisory Board of BAKTI, and Special Advisor to the Minister of Communication and Information Technology, granting him profound authority in national telecommunications and digitalization.

 

His strategic depth is further anchored by a distinguished consulting tenure from 1992 to 1997, where he served as a highlevel advisor to Indonesia’s most prominent corporate giants and financial institutions, including Bimantara, Bank Mashill, Bank Danamon, and PT Jayanti (Timber Group).

 

During the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis, he played a critical role in navigating the complexities of the banking sector, providing strategic counsel for national commercial banks (Tbk) under the Bank Under Supervision (BUS) program and actively participating in the implementation of the Structural Adjustment Program (SAP). At Tasninx, Zulfan serves as the strategic cornerstone for high-level government relations, aligning the firm’s technical innovations with Indonesia’s national policy objectives. He provides the essential bridge between disruptive technology and regulatory dynamics, ensuring that Tasninx’s initiatives are seamlessly integrated with state-level interests. His oversight ensures strategic excellence across the mining, energy, plantation, and health sectors, cementing Tasninx’s position as a vital partner in Indonesia’s sustainable development.
